SUPPORTING DENVER’S BRIGHT FUTURE

All children deserve access to high-quality early care and learning.

Denver’s Early Childhood Council works to ensure our community’s youngest children and families have a strong local system that supports children’s healthy development, school readiness, and family well-being and stability.

We work with child care professionals, health and mental health care providers, local school districts, local leaders, and other partners to enhance the quality and availability of child care and early education opportunities for Denver children.

One of 35 regional Early Childhood Councils in Colorado, we serve as Denver’s early childhood hub. Denver’s Early Childhood Council connects child care professionals to training, funding, and other support so that they can focus on what they do best: provide high-quality care and learning environments for our youngest children.

We help professionals to stay current on the ever-changing landscape of scientific innovations in early childhood. We also help Denver’s child care programs navigate the complex landscape of early childhood regulations and requirements.

ALWAYS MOVING FORWARD

“It’s fine to coordinate funds to meet as many community needs as you can. It’s much better to build a local system that is strong enough to survive the ebb and flow of funds, leadership, state and local priorities while always moving forward to build a better system for our kids. That’s what Denver’s Early Childhood Council has achieved.”

— Sharon Triolo Moloney, Colorado Department of Education (retired), former Council Board Vice Chair
