Supporting Children’s Social Emotional Development

Register in ecConnect

Date of Event: October 3, 2020 - November 14, 2020

Starts at: 8:30 am

Virtual

The focus of this five-part workshop series will be on specific strategies adults can use in the classroom to support children’s healthy social-emotional development. Participants will leave with a full “toolbox” of strategies to use, together with all the resources and materials (shared through a Google Drive) they will need to begin using these strategies right away.

The training is organized around the basic framework of the Pyramid Model and Pyramid Plus Approach, but will go deeper into exactly what teachers can do in the classroom to ensure that the essential elements of that framework are being implemented with high fidelity and effectiveness. In addition to what is traditionally taught in Pyramid trainings, it will draw on other sources, such as Conscious Discipline, the Harvard Center for the Developing Child, and Learning In Nurturing Communities (LINC), to ensure that participants leave with a wide variety of specific and targeted strategies they can start using right away.

In five parts, each with two 1½-hour Zoom sessions – see session details in ecConnect.
