LAUNCH Together in Southwest Denver
In 2017 Denver’s Early Childhood Council and three other communities in Colorado were awarded 4-year grants from a collaborative of eight foundations to focus on building a coordinated system of community supports around the social-emotional development of young children birth to 8.
What is LAUNCH Together?
Our vision is that every child, family and provider in Southwest Denver is emotionally and socially flourishing in relationships and environments that nurture their hearts, minds and bodies.
We work to fulfill this vision by building a resilient, trauma-informed community network of parents, providers and programs throughout Southwest Denver who are responsive to the social-emotional needs of young children, their families and the champions who serve them.
Collaboration is at the core of our grant, and we are working closely with child care providers, pediatricians, nurses, home visitors, mental health professionals, community leaders and many others on our three key goal areas:
- Responsive systems & services
- Reflective organizations & workforce
- Resilient families & neighborhoods
Our activities are targeted to programs, providers and promotoras working with young children and families in Southwest Denver, along with parents and families looking for resources. Services for child care providers, children and families are focused on supporting emotional well-being and positive behaviors at home and in the child care setting.
How to Get Involved
The community is an essential partner in this work and is always welcome at our events. We have multiple workgroups, trainings and meetings throughout the year, and we also provide services and supports to programs working with young children and their families in SW Denver. We can provide interpretation services in multiple languages.
