LAUNCH Together

What is LAUNCH Together?

Denver’s Early Childhood Council and three other communities in Colorado have each been awarded $2 million, 4-year grants to focus on building a coordinated system of community supports around the social-emotional development of young children birth to 5.

LAUNCH Together in SW Denver 2017 – 2020

Our work is focused in Southwest Denver (west of the South Platte River, south of Colfax, east of Sheridan and north of Jewel), and is centered around collaboration among pediatricians, home visitors, early childhood educators, mental health professionals, community organizers and families to focus on achieving the work of our strategic plan, which was developed through an extensive 6-month planning process.

Our Vision, Mission & Goals

Our vision is that every child, family and provider in Southwest Denver is emotionally and socially flourishing in relationships and environments that nurture their hearts, minds and bodies. We will fulfill this vision by building a resilient, trauma-informed community network of parents, providers and programs throughout Southwest Denver who are responsive to the social-emotional needs of young children, their families and the champions who serve them.

Our three key goal areas:

  1. Responsive systems & services
  2. Reflective organizations & workforce
  3. Resilient families & neighborhoods

All are welcome!

The community is always welcome at our meetings and events. A great way to get started is to attend meetings of our Community Action Team. The Community Action Team meets every other month to stay informed and guide the work of LAUNCH Together in SW Denver. We also provide trainings, services and supports to programs working with young children and their families in the neighborhoods identified below. Check out our events calendar for upcoming trainings and events.

We can provide interpretation services in Spanish and Vietnamese.  For more information, please contact Jenna Bannon,

The area served by LAUNCH Together in SW Denver includes the neighborhoods of Athmar Park, Barnum, Narnum West, Mar Lee, Ruby Hill, Sun Valley, Valverde, Villa Park, West Colfax and Westwood.

LAUNCH Together is funded by eight Colorado foundations through Early Milestones Colorado and is based on a federally-funded initiative called Project Launch, which is currently happening in Adams and Weld Counties.
