Professional Development Training Overview
The Council is pleased to offer a variety of training options to fit the needs of all early learning professionals. Whether you are new to the field or have been working in early childhood for years, we are here to support your learning.
Some of the trainings we offer:
Expanding Quality for Infants and Toddlers (EQIT)
A fun, interactive 48-hour course aimed at improving the care of infants and toddlers across the state of Colorado. This training can also help you meet certain Infant-Toddler licensing requirements.
Pyramid Plus Approach Training
In this 45-hour course, learn about supporting the social-emotional development of all the children in your classroom as well as evidence-based strategies for inclusionary practices and dealing with challenging behavior. This training can also help you meet the Guidance requirement for licensing.
Pre-Licensing Training
Interested in opening your own family child care home? This training will help you learn the ropes; everything from state and city regulations to healthy child development is covered in this state-approved training course. Contact us at helpdesk@denverearlychildhood.org for more information.
Clock Hour trainings
Topics include all licensing areas, ranging from child development, health, safety and nutrition to family support.
CPR/First Aid/Universal Precautions/Medication Administration
Stay up-to-date on your required certifications. It could save a life.
