Karen Thiel
Karen joined the Council in 2019 as a Quality Navigator, serving now as Manager of Navigation Services. Karen has been dedicated to working with families and young children for many years, most recently conducting observations using the Environmental Rating Scales® and CLASS®, and previously as a Kindergarten and Preschool teacher. Karen has a BA and MA in Sociology with an emphasis on Women and Economic Development.
In her time off, Karen enjoys spending time with family, riding her horse, helping friends work cattle, and gardening.
Karen is fluent in Spanish.
