Andrea “Andi” Ives

Andrea “Andi” Ives is an experienced early childhood systems leader with more than 15 years of expertise advancing equitable access to high-quality early education across Denver and Colorado. She currently serves as the Early Education Operations Manager for Denver Public Schools, where she leads operational oversight, funding alignment, compliance systems, and community partnerships supporting one of Colorado’s largest early childhood education networks.

Throughout her career, Andi has worked collaboratively with school districts, community-based providers, state agencies, and local organizations to strengthen early childhood systems, improve operational effectiveness, and expand opportunities for children and families. She brings extensive knowledge in Universal Preschool (UPK), early childhood funding and budget management, enrollment systems, licensing and compliance, and cross-sector partnership development.

Andi is recognized for her collaborative leadership style, strategic problem-solving, and commitment to building sustainable, community-centered systems that support providers, educators, families, and young learners. She is passionate about strengthening Denver’s early childhood ecosystem through equity-driven leadership, strong partnerships, and innovative operational solutions.
