ENGLISH – Mighty Movers: Supporting Gross Motor Development from Infancy to Preschool

September 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Gross motor development is far more than running, jumping, and playing—it is the foundation for children’s strength, coordination, confidence, independence, and overall learning. In this engaging, practical course, teachers will discover why large-muscle movement is essential during the earliest years of life and how it supports brain development, balance, posture, self-regulation, social participation, and later fine motor skills such as writing and self-help routines. Teachers will leave with infant through age 5 ready-to-use strategies, lesson plan templates, and milestone checklists that make gross motor development purposeful, meaningful, and easy to embed into every day.

*This course supports the UPK quality standard of aligning curriculum and instruction with the ELDGs and CAS

Participants who attend and actively participate in this training will receive a certificate of completion for 2 credit hours aligned with the Child Growth, Development, and Learning competency in Colorado Shines.
