Social Emotional Development and Toddler Behavior

Classroom teachers and early childhood providers will learn about social-emotional development of young children and how this impacts their strengths and challenges in a classroom environment. We will reframe the concept of “challenging behaviors” with a developmental lens. Providers will learn how to prevent common challenges proactively by supporting the developmental needs of young children. Providers will learn strategies for self-regulation, enabling them to support children with co-regulation. Attendees will participate in discussion and reflection to guide their goals for their practice.
