ENGLISH – Foundations of Social and Emotional Intelligence in Early Childhood – Part 3 – DPP Featured Teacher Series

November 19 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

This is a 3-part series:

  • Part 1 – Wednesday, November 11 from 6:00PM-8:00PM
  • Part 2 – Tuesday, November 17 from 6:00PM-8:00PM
  • Part 3 – Thursday, November 19 from 6:00PM-8:00PM

This is part 3 of an interactive three-session training, which equips early care and learning professionals with the foundational knowledge, best practices, and hands-on strategies to intentionally support young children’s social and emotional intelligence. Participants will explore how social and emotional skills—such as self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and relationship-building—develop in early childhood and why these capacities are essential for lifelong learning, well-being, and healthy relationships. Each session combines brief teaching with active learning, including demonstrations, child-centered activities, case examples, and opportunities to practice strategies that can be used immediately in classrooms and early learning settings.

This is a DPP Teacher Featured Series. To qualify for the DPP Teacher Achievement Award ($325 for completing all three sessions), participants must work at a participating Denver Preschool Program site located in Denver county, and be a teacher or assistant primarily assigned to a preschool classroom.
