Immigration Rights and Resources for ECE
Members of our early learning community have raised concerns and are receiving questions from staff and families about the potential presence of government officials, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, at early childhood programs.
At Denver’s Early Childhood Council, we are committed to building and supporting environments where all children, families, and staff feel safe, supported, and included. We recognize that immigration-related challenges can significantly impact the well-being of educators, children, and families. We’ve compiled a collection of trusted resources for early childhood professionals navigating these concerns:
- A Guide for Employers: What to Do if Immigration Comes to Your Workplace (National Immigration Law Center)
- Supporting Students & Families through Potential Mass Deportations (DiversifiED Consulting)
- Immigration Services in Colorado (National Immigration Legal Services Directory)
You can find these and additional resources in our Resource Library. (Helpful hint: click on “Immigration Rights and Resources” in the Topic Areas). You can also stay informed by signing up for our newsletters and Friday Updates.
While immigration policies may continue to evolve, our unwavering commitment remains: to support, resource, and equip early childhood educators, children, and families with the tools they need.
