Dorothy Shapland, Ed.D.

Dorothy is an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education at MSU Denver. She was a Montessori Pre-Primary teacher, and a K-3 teacher in Douglas County, Aurora, and Denver Public Schools for over 30 years before entering the world of teacher preparation. Dorothy’s work in the profession is focused on bringing trauma-informed equity leadership to practitioners working in schools and centers.
