Lisa Jameson-Shea
As a professional fundraiser with nearly three decades of experience, Lisa has significantly contributed to the healthcare, social advocacy, member professional, community development, and international development sectors. Her philanthropy expertise and innovative fundraising leadership have been widely recognized, as she consistently challenges the status quo and effectively manages change. Her current role as the Development Manager at Denver’s Early Childhood Council allows her to spearhead transformative initiatives that support and enhance pathways and resources for young children in Denver County. With her extensive experience and strategic vision, she oversees grant writing and management, fundraising events, corporate sponsorships, individual donor development with portfolio management, and donor-based communications and outreach.
Before joining the Council in 2024, Lisa oversaw grant writing and management for international and domestic grants at the Human Trafficking Institute of Washington, DC, and Dallas, TX. Lisa previously led grants and planned giving for A Precious Child and developed systems to support APC’s quickly growing philanthropy channels. Lisa has gained most of her fundraising experience within Denver Metro area charities and chambers, including the Mental Health Center of Denver, Northern Colorado Latino Foundation, Brighton Chamber of Commerce, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She began her career at Girl Scouts of America in Lafayette, Indiana, and Dallas, Texas.
Lisa holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Tyler. Her leadership style is characterized by her belief in the power of gratitude in fostering relationships, particularly in the context of recurring gifts. She understands that these relationships are at the heart of sustainable fundraising. In her downtime, Lisa enjoys community hikes with her family, having adventures with friends, and playing video games.
