The Children's Environmental Health Network is a national multi-disciplinary organization whose mission is to protect the developing child from environmental health hazards and promote a healthier environment. Today, CEHN is the voice of children’s environmental health in the nation’s capitol, one that is uniquely informed by a strong basis in pediatric and environmental health science.  

Immunize for Good

Immunize for Good is a joint project of the Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and Vaccine Advisory Committee of Colorado (VACC). These organizations work to further childhood immunization coverage in Colorado through education, vaccine provider resources and parental support.

The Raising of America

The Raising of America Series is a five-part documentary series that explores the questions: Why are so many children in America faring so poorly? What are the consequences for the nation’s future? How might we, as a nation, do better? The series investigates these questions through different lenses: What does science tell us about the enduring importance of early life experiences on the brain and body? What it is like to be a parent today? And what policies and structures help or hinder the raising of healthy, happy and compassionate children?  

National Black Child Development Institute

The National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) is at the forefront of engaging leaders, policymakers, professionals and parents around critical and timely issues that directly impact black children and their families. BCDI-Denver, the local affiliate, is a group of early childhood experts, parents and professionals who have come together to create a trusted organization that will, with support from the national office, implement programs and provide resources addressing early learning, health and wellness, family engagement and literacy. BCDI's work will engage in advocacy that focuses on achieving positive outcomes for black children and families.

Colorado Crisis Services

Mental health is one of the most common reasons why a child or youth involved with the child welfare system is in congregate care. A child or youth's mental health issues may be addressed at a lower level by better connecting families with the services available through Colorado Crisis Services. Help get kids the right care, at the right time, in the right place.      

Colorado Child Fatality Prevention

The Colorado Child Fatality Prevention System (CFPS) is a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team that makes prevention recommendations based on child fatality data in Colorado. Child fatality review teams conduct systematic, comprehensive, multidisciplinary reviews of all preventable childhood deaths to better understand how and why children die. Using a public health approach, child fatality review teams examine the trends and patterns of child deaths in order to make population-based recommendations to prevent other deaths and improve the health and safety of children.
