UPDATE 1/23/26: The court-ordered stay that requires the Federal Government to keep funding the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) while the court case about the freeze to the five states continues to move through has been extended an additional two weeks per the media. UPDATE 1/12/26: The Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) is sharing an update regarding recent federal actions affecting Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), and Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) funding. Read CDEC update here.
UPDATE 1/9/26: A federal judge ruled Friday that the administration cannot block federal money for child care subsidies and other programs aimed at supporting low-income families with children from flowing to Colorado and other Democratic-led states for now.
