Nicole Becker – putting the Quality in Quality Navigation
Here at Denver’s Early Childhood Council, we value employee recognition for a job well done, and we are especially honored when that recognition comes from those we serve in the community.
Much of our impact can be attributed to our strong commitment to building relationships with the individuals who work in Denver’s child care programs. Their work is invaluable to children and families, and it makes our day when hear that we are “getting it right” in helping them reach their goals so they can do their jobs more effectively!
Here’s an excerpt from a recent letter of kudos given to Nicole Becker, a member of the Council’s Quality Navigation team.
“Since my first communication with Nicole Becker, Quality Navigator with the Denver Early Childhood Council in July, I have learned a great deal and have a better understanding of the CO Shines system. She has been extremely helpful, accommodating, and thorough in her communications with me. I truly appreciate Nicole for working to make things easier for me. She has helped me out as much as she could. Whether it was jumping on a random and spur-of-the-moment Google Meet meeting or explaining a process step by step, it really means a lot.
Thanks to Nicole’s help and guidance, I feel more confident in the CO Shines PDIS and CO Shines QRIS systems, as well as the CO Shines Evidence/Readiness Guide for Levels 3-5. Nicole always has a positive attitude and I never feel put down or made to feel shame for not knowing what something means, or for asking the same question 100 different times.” – Ashley Natt, Director of ECE Navigation, HOPE Center
